"Bottom Time Divers provided superb service. The fast boat had a cover, and
could hold a maximum of 6 divers. We had a group of 4 divers, and we were
the only ones on the boat except for one day. Bottom Time Divers was very
flexible about dive sites, times, pickup location, etc. Divemaster Raul
was professional, thorough, and helpful. They cleaned -- not just rinsed
-- our gear at the end of each day and had it set up and ready to go on
the boat when we met them the next morning. They provided clean towels on
the boat and bottled water, fruit, and snacks between dives. Diving was excellent, aided by Raul's knowledge of the Cozumel reef
systems."

"Raul is an awesome guy that listens to you and dives whatever it is that you want. No dive site is out of the way for him. He does provide some killer snacks too on the SI. Also, if you are doing multiple dives with him, he will take your gear, clean it, and have it all ready to go the next day on the boat. Top notch IMO

"Raul's operation is top notch, fleece lined nylon wind
breakers for those chilly rides durning the winter months, water, fruit
and/or cookies & cake durning surface intervals. You dive your
computer, we averaged over one hour of bottom time per dive. Raul still
finds seahorses along with many other little critters that most divers
miss in Cozumel."

"We dove with Bottom Time Divers and will use them every time we are in Cozumel. They have small, fast, covered boats that only take a max of six divers. Very friendly. Will take you to any dive site. We had a number of dives that were well over an hour long. Surface intervals on a sandy beach with snacks and dry towels."

"Another vote for Bottom Time Divers. He actually champions extended bottom times as the feature that sets his operation apart from the rest."

"We have dove with Bottom Time Divers for the past 4+ years. Even had our son spend his 12th birthday on a shore course! The boats are very fast, we usually pass up most the other boats on the way out. Never more than 6-7 divers. Snacks provided. Rental gear is in good shape. He is great about finding things and if there are too many boats in a particular area, he always has an alternative spot which is interesting. Often, he is booked in advance."

"It is my pleasure to extol the virtues of an excellent dive master working out of Cozumel, Mexico. Raul Platas of bottomtimedivers provided me with a tremendous diving experience on my recent trip to Mexico. I was impressed with his expertise as well as his responsible attitude towards his customers. He never let me feel anxious or doubt his knowledge of the area. His concern for my safety was matched by his interest in my comfort. He took the time to ascertain definitively that everyone on the boat was properly prepared, knew the appropriate signals and had a good understanding of the dive plan. I especially appreciated that his day included beautiful stops at out of the way docks by lovely stretches of beach. I would recommend him to anyone, novice or expert as his communication skills extend beyond an excellent command of the English language. His manner is friendly and fun and his explanations are both concise and patiently delivered. I loved the experience and knew I was in capable hands. Kudos to Raul." K.C

"I cannot thank him enough for taking the time to help me. Also just because someone has great ads or deals doesn't mean you get your money's worth."

"Raul Plates is one of my all time favorite DM's on Coz. Great at finding those little critters, all critters for that matter, very safety minded and just a good guy. Consider giving him some of your dive time, you won't be dissapointed."

"I contracted with an operator that advertised 3 tank dives and found that each was on shallow reefs and only 35-40 minute bottom times. I was not particularly good on air but still had 1000 psi left.
I remembered another members post about Raul and contacted him. He had room on his boat and off we went. Well the first dive was 90' multi-level and I did 50min. On the second, Raul worked with me and got me breathing a bit better, 50' for 60 min.
Next day first dive was 85' and with Raul's instruction and slow pace we saw many things others just swim right over and I did 65 min. Second was 50' and a great 75 min. We dove to the extent of our computers no deco time and thats great. I still had 600 psi after that dive so plenty of spare in case of deco."

"Raul is a real nice guy and is owner/operator so you deal with the boss not an employee. He has a small fast boat 6 divers max, with a canopy, towels, snacks, raincoats, and water. He likes to take his time underwater and find the little cridders that others miss. Bottom times are your air and computer, most over an hour"

"We did two days of diving and two night dives with Raul Platas of bottomtimedivers.net. He of course did a fantastic job as always handling me, my fiancé, and our two friends!"
